Want a bed with a super power? Newtown won’t leap buildings, but it will tidy a whole lot of life into its under base storage. The spring assist gas struts (70 kg rating) make lifting smooth and simple — the mattress acts as a counterweight so you don’t need brute strength. Inside, a full bottom board keeps everything off the floor and dust free, with room for linen, winter duvets, sports gear or that suitcase you only use once a year. Upholstered in Slate for a calm, modern look, and headboard ready to pair perfectly with our Fendalton or Parnell headboards in the same fabric.

Using your gas lift safely

  • Lift and lower with the mattress on (it counterbalances the mechanism).
  • Keep hands clear of moving parts; supervise kids.
  • Distribute stored items evenly and stay within the 70 kg rating.

Vacuum fabric with a soft brush; spot clean spills promptly and blot dry. Avoid harsh cleaners and direct sunlight. Check bolts/hinges periodically and re tighten if needed. Covered by our standard warranty and your rights under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act.
